Casidra currently seeks to recruit a bookkeeper who is proficient and skilled in Bookkeeping.

The position will be based at Waaikraal Farm, but for the first three months the successful candidate will be stationed at our Head Office in Paarl.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Project Manager: Farms Support and Development and the Casidra Accountant.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Prepare financial documentation for payment requests
• Ensure that all data is correctly captured and allocated on Sage
• Check to ensure correct allocations
• Monthly data capturing from source documents
• All Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities
• Responsible for the Procurement on the farms
• Stock control and administration
• Adhere to strict deadlines
• Familiarize yourself with company financial policies and SOPs
• Visit farms to conduct audits and do training
• Follow standard financial procedure at month-end and year-end, with the aim to produce quality financial statements on due dates
• Identify errors, as well as discrepancies and do corrections via journals
• Do monthly bank reconciliations
• Attend to all queries on statements, clarifications and adjustments made
• Provide audit files for year-end
• Do full payroll for seasonal workers and associated month-end procedures

TO BE CONSIDERED YOU WILL HAVE:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Matric with accounting as a subject
• Registration with the Institute for Accredited Bookkeepers would be advantageous
• At least 5 years experience in Bookkeeping up to trial balance in a farming environment
• At least 5 years experience in Payroll
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct would be advantageous
• The ability to produce monthly management statements and annual audit statements
• Knowledge of company documents and returns
• A valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English
• Must be willing to travel and work overtime
